Bulk loading emails to Bundledocs

Normally when you load an email to Bundledocs, Bundledocs will set the Document Description to be the Subject of the email. You then need to edit the Document Description to add in the word Email and the names of sender and recipient (you might leave in the Subject as well or just have sender and recipient names without Subject).

Editing the Document Description in Bundledocs  is easy to do if there are just a few emails loaded to Bundledocs but if there are a number you can avoid having to do this editing, and save time, by using MessageSave with Outlook. See below for how to do this:-

If not installed already, install Microsoft Outlook  and MessageSave Pro on a Windows computer. Set MessageSave file naming template as shown below.

In Outlook select the emails which are to be loaded to Bundledocs and tap the MessageSave button to save the emails (as MSG files) to a temporary folder.

Temporarily set the bundle default Display Date Format in Bundledocs to d MMM yyyy HH.mm.ss

Make sure that the Use Email Attachments Where Possible option is set to Yes in your account settings.

Then  load the MSG files to Bundledocs in the usual way  by tapping the Add Documents button and navigating to temporary folder where the files to be uploaded are (see video). The emails will then appear in Bundledocs with their attachments as seprate files like this:

Date Description

26 Jun 2021 15.32.22 EMAIL Smith to Jones

26 Jun 2021 15.32.22   Contract.pdf

When you have finished loading all the emails, change the bundle default Display Date Format back to d MMM yyyy which is the normal Display Date Format for most document types (other than emails and JPG photos) - see video.
