Based at King's Bench Godolphin Chambers in the South-West, on the Western Circuit, John Antell represents clients in civil trials at county courts and tribunals throughout Southern England,  as well as at the High Court in London and Bristol. He has a broad civil practice with three specialities: contractual disputes, property disputes, and employment law.

Contractual disputes range from disputes over financial services, insurance, consumer and business loans, and mortgages, to professional services, trade between companies, building and construction work (both commercial and residential) industrial plant and manufactured products, boats, caravans and cars.

Property work includes disputes over rights of way and other easements, nuisance, restrictive covenants, constructive trusts/proprietary estoppel, TOLATA applications, adverse possession and boundary disputes. 

Employment disputes include unfair and constructive dismissal, restrictive covenants, whistle-blowing, and discrimination.
