Email - Saving selected emails from the cloud into an MBOX

If you are using an online email system other than Gmail, such as Yahoo or Hotmail you can import emails into a Gmail account so that you can then create copies of them in an MBOX as described here

The video here explains how to use Gmail's backup feature to copy emails from your Gmail account into an MBOX file. You only need to copy those emails which are relevant to the case (not, for example, personal emails about something unrelated). Gmail's backup feature allows you to select emails from a particular email folder (label) or folders and it may well be that the emails you want are in a separate folder or folders. If not then you may need to initially create copies of all the emails in your Gmail account - later on you can pick out those emails which are relevant.
