On a Windows computer use Namexif to rename digital photographs with the date each photograph was taken.
On a Mac computer use ExifRenamer to rename digital photographs with the date each photograph was taken.
On an Android tablet or phone use Bulk Rename Wizard to rename digital photographs with the date each photograph was taken.
Note: If the digital photograph you have is actually a photograph of a photograph then you cannot use Namexif or ExifRenamer because in this case the "date taken" information in the file is just the date that the picture was turned into digital form, not the date of the original photograph. Instead you should rename the JPG file by typing in the date of the original photograph so far as you can ascertain it. You can use xx if you do not know the exact day/month e.g. 1995-06-xx Photo of House
