Photos - Producing Copies of Digital Photos with a Date-prefixed file name using Namexif on a Windows computer

Use the procedure below to produce copies of digital photographs with a file name prefixed by the date each photograph was taken.

1. If you have not already done so, download the Namexif program

2. Copy the JPG files to a work folder on your computer (so that the original are untouched).

3. Start the Namexif program

4. Click Next and the following screen will appear.

5. Click Add Files and select the digital photos in your work folder. The screen below will appear.

6. Click Next and the following screen will appear.

7. Select Custom and type in (YYYY)-(MM)-(DD)   Photo [(FMR)]

8. Click Next to rename the files with the date and time taken.
