Photos - Producing Copies of Digital Photos with a Date-prefixed file name

On a Windows computer use Namexif to to produce copies of digital photographs with a file name prefixed by the date each photograph was taken.

On a Mac computer use ExifRenamer to to produce copies of digital photographs with a file name prefixed by the date each photograph was taken.

On an Android tablet or phone use Bulk Rename Wizard to to produce copies of digital photographs with a file name prefixed by the date each photograph was taken.

Note: If the digital photograph you have is actually a photograph of a photograph then you cannot use Namexif, ExifRenamer or Bulk Rename Wizard because in this case the "date taken" information in the file is just the date that the picture was turned into digital form, not the date of the original photograph. Instead you should rename the JPG file by typing in the date of the original photograph so far as you can ascertain it.
